Pastor Pele and Eva went up to Pigeon Forge for a few days rest. On January 4th, Pele went into cardiac arrest. He had 3 cardiac arrests as he was being transported from their hotel to the Medical University Center in Knoxville, TN. He was still alive but in very critical condition. Eva said, “We believe God is able to heal him & amaze us all. Please pray for him & I cannot thank you enough.”
January 6th from Eva – “Pele had a heart catheterization this afternoon and tolerated it well. He had 95% blockage to one of the blood vessels and that has been repaired. We were waiting for him to be weaned off the respirator and for him to wake up this afternoon but he didn’t wake up fully so they decided to sedate him again so they could take out the sheath (something like that) that was used for the heart cath. His leg has to be still for 6 hours. Please pray for no complications as he wakes up from the coma he has been in for 3 days, as he is weaned off respirator and for no neurological probs. Our God is able. We continue to believe for a complete healing and restoration. Thanks so much, it is your prayers, encouraging and kind words and the living word of God that is getting us through.”
January 7th from Eva – “They sedated Pele thru the night. They had to remove the sheath from the heart cath and he was moving around too much. So today they will just let the sedation wear off. He is still on the ventilator which should be the next to go. Asking the Holy Spirit to just guide him through this. It could be very difficult but we are praying not. My sister and I have been reading scriptures to him and yesterday I even sang his favorite song to him “power of your love”…lol…so appreciate your prayers. They have been powerful. Our Lord is amazing!”
January 8th from Eva – “Hallelujah! Praises to the King of kings! Walked into Pele’s room this morning after spending the night in the family waiting room and he broke into this huge smile. I was so overjoyed to see him like that. I went around his bed to give him a kiss on the forehead but he grabbed my neck and wanted a real kiss!! It is amazing to see the work God has done. Thanking my God in whom we trust and fully rely on. Thank you dear brothers and sisters for your faithfulness to lift us up in prayer. This is not over yet, but I know I have been changed and have drawn closer to Him!”
January 10th From Eva – “Today started out with a scare….irregular heart rhythms at 5am…much prayer. Later in the morning the doctors made their rounds and the chief cardiologist called him a miracle and gave our God the glory. He said, “God is smiling down on you.” He then said he would be moved to a private room today, start physical and occupational therapy so that they could get him ready to go home by the end of the week.”
January 10th from Lauren Mulitauaopele – “Tony is on the phone right now with his dad (Pele) who is ALIVE AND WELL after suffering a massive heart attack last Tuesday! Pele was airlifted to the University Hospital in Tennessee, survived induced hypothermia of his body, was on a ventilator for 3 days, underwent a heart cath where they fixed a vessel that was 95% blocked, took about 5 days to completely wake up and NOW HE IS TALKING ON THE PHONE! WOW…..we serve an amazing God! Thanks so much to all our friends and family for their diligent prayers………..it has been your prayers and support that has gotten us through the last week!”
January 11th from Eva – “Pele getting help walking with the physical therapist who he witnessed to about Samoa Medical Mission”
January 11th from Eva – ‘One of the cardiologists told Pele that he had actually died and God had brought him back to life. When he was looking at Pele, the Lord spoke to him and told him “I am going to raise him up because he is not finished with the work I have called him to do”. The doctor did not forget this experience…….so later when Pele was conscious he came to ask Pele what kind of work he did. After Pele got finished explaining what he did, the Dr. told him “people like you is what encourages me to keep doing what I am doing”. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!’
January 13th 9:43am from Eva – “Cardiologist just came in and said that Pele’s heart is back to normal……How Great is our God, sing with me, How Great is our God and all will see How Great, How Great is our God!”
January 13th 9:58am from Eva – “Pele has been discharged! We are headed home, praise God.”
Isa 61:3 He gives beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that He may be glorified. – The Lord has turned our mourning to celebration… for His glory.
January 17th from Eva – “Took Pele to his cardiologist here in Columbia and he could not believe that Pele was actually standing in front of him. He could not believe the reports that he was reading from Tennessee. He did his own EKG and it showed no heart damage and no trace of what he has been thru. My sister, an RN, testified that she was a witness that his heart had stopped that first time. (it stopped two times after that… in the ambulance and in the helicopter). Pele was shocked to restart his heart. The Doctor told us to give him two weeks to study everything cause it just did not make sense. Well it makes sense to me. God completely has healed my husband’s heart. We told him it was a miracle. His secretary said it brought her chills. Right now Pele just tires easily and his body is recovering from all that was done to it. But the strength will return to normal just has his heart has. Our God is amazing. He is our Jehovah Rapha, our Healer. He spoke the word and healed our diseases. Thanks all for your prayers that brought this miracle to pass.”
